We have a 25' macdon head on a 873 adapter. We can not seem to get this thing to feed peas very well at all. It seems to keep plugging on the center canvas. What I'm wondering is if the drum on the adapter should be moved forward, back, up, down???? It's on an 8010 and we have the pea auger on it. Anyone have any tips for me?? Thx.

If you have anti wrap plates bolted on the front of your feeder house you will have to take them off, this is the first place to start.

We take the front plastic plate of of the feeder house if that's what you mean.

Have tried to cut canola with my 972-873 MD no luck! Added pea auger this year, have not tried it yet. Not confident!

Macdon makes a paddle kit that mounts on each side of the cross auger that helps a lot with fluffy peas.

Farmboi- do you think the center drum is stopping or the center belt. I'm having the same problem in canola! I know you can't see either one from the cab!
