I'm looking at upgrading our Lexion and head for next years winter harvest. I'm toying with the idea of going to a Macdon FD or D series draper and was wondering what people's thoughts were on these heads, as far as reliability goes and what issues people have had with them. We harvest a fair few legume crops like chickpeas and mungbeans and the rigid head is probably good enough but with zero til and tramlines the ground is getting more and more uneven and hence the thought of going flex, there quite a bit dearer header, are they much deare to run?
