We have a 2805 that we have had decent luck with, for what we paid for it.

It recently started with the following problems: 3-point won't raise, Steering is hard to turn, sometimes quits completely, Seems like something sticks when starting to move - Let off the clutch, and the tractor pulls down, and will finally break free and start moving

We just parked it for now, first thought was charge pump, does that sound possible for all the problems? Second question is if it is the charge pump, how much of a job is it to change it?

There is no charge pump. You have a problem with your right side hydraulic pump. Have you changed the hydraulic filters lately? They are suction filters, you could be pulling air somewhere. Do remotes 1 and 2 work? They are supplied by the left pump, but have a common suction line. Whatever you do don't drive it with the trans dragging you will burn up the multi power clutches.

If your pto shaft is broken in the input section the results are similar to what you are describing. Sometimes it's not a clean break therefore it may somewhat drive the hydraulics and also does weird things when you step on the clutch. I have seen it twist and create havoc to the input section.
