I think the cooling system has more capacity. On a larger 8600 you are working the tractor to the boards on a very hot day you might find that cooling will be your capacity, the transmission generates a lot of heat. Also much improved A/C.

Looking for a used 300+ hp tractor. Considering a 8680 or 8737. Can anybody tell me what's the difference in 8600 series vs the 8700 series?
8700 series has a completely different cooling system. If you do a lot of road travel 8600 has trans heating issues. Also much better cab suspension on 8700. 8600 has old c1000 screen. Somewhere in the 8700 they switched to large touch screen. 8600 is single turbo, 8700 has twin turbo. Numerous upgrades in control layout and software. 8600 has old T handle, 8700 has multipad joystick.
