was responding to another thread , and thought this may be of intrest , we put a chain drag from the rear axles of our 860 masseys , seemed to help with static build up and lessen the dust sticking to the windows , buut realised it causes the ground which also may help to prevent static ignition , just a thought ( dont use chain with a hook though itl find train tracks )

Combine fires are a major issue here in oz with extra dry conditions. Some that have burnt had 2 chains on the front axle, one on the back axle & anti static kits. Biggest risk seems to be lentils on very hot days. A company in Sydney are now making up cover kits for the exhaust like a wrap around coat to eliminate that area. General thinking is fine chaff sitting on manifold then dropping off & not necessarily static causing all the problems.
