I have a 76 L. I was having issues with the reel speed, height and auger swing I think I had a short somewhere and ended up running all new wires to these coils also at first the header lift was being affected.

The auger swing and reel speed were burning fuses and at the same time the hyds quite working completely on the secondary valve. I think I have all electrical issues fixed the fuses are holding. Now I notice the master valve is leaking very bad. I Pulled it apart and replaced the big O ring that goes up inside the valve body.

It is the correct part number but it seemed too big. I finally just put it in there and tightened it down but the leak was as bad or worse. Today I ordered a complete O ring kit. What did I do wrong on the O ring installation? I pulled it apart today and that O ring was broken. Also none of the hyd functions are working on the secondary valve.

It is hard to get to up in there. Last night I took my pick and a new O Ring from the kit and found that there is a groove for the ring. I actually dug out a couple pieces of an old broken ring that was in there along with the intact ring that I had removed. So there was more than on ring in the body. The parts book only shows one. I got the new one to seat and it still leaks and there is no hyd function to the auger swing or reel lift at all. The coils are energizing when they are supposed to and I even tried different coils on them. Pump is working because the header lifts fine.

I am going to look up inside the valve body for any obstructions with a good flashlight. I am running out of ideas.
