Anyone have any experience with a dual fan cart (Morris or any other brand) and a JD tractor with 48 GPM or a case with 57 GPM? Planning on putting down up to 450 lbs/ac total product. Morris recommends 65 GPM (? Can't remember exactly).
Don't want to be short of hydraulic and not able to lift the drill till half way around the corner or need 3 headlands to make it work.

if its an independent opener drill it maybe at its limit but each fan requires 21gpm at max speed if you have dual fans chances are they both wont need to run as fast as a single fan so if they run at 4000rpm instead of 6000rpm it will require 2/3 the oil flow. So 14gpm per fan is 28gpm plus the oil required to lift drill and turn tractor so it likely would still work I have run seedmaster drills and a dual fan cart on a 30gpm system before but it was a flexi coil so one big orbit motor drives two fans requiring slightly less oil than other two fan designs

I have dual fans on a 9535 Morris and 24m contour drill, with a Nh 9060 in front fans running at around 4200 rpm at 10km/hr and up to 220 kg/ha.It seems to be ok. It is slow to lift on headlands but I have been told they are working on an update on the control block that is mounted on seeder, we had a single fan on it originally and was still slow to lift. Hope they will have a solution before we start planting this year ( I won't hold my breath ) 3 headlands is not a option.

That's a similar set up to what we were looking at. Does your drill have the larger secondary tubes? The one we were looking at has this option. Not sure how much more fan speed or air it will take to run the same amount of product. I'm concerned that with the larger tubes we might need more hyd capacity to even lift it.
It's a 71' drill with a 650 bu tank. And we have a 485 case with 57 gal/min.

I was looking at a Morris Razor disc drill last winter. We looked at a few specs on carts in the 400 bushel range from both the 8 series and 9 series. Morris said since we were looking at single shoot, we could run it with our JD9400. If we wanted to go to dual fans, we would need to update the tractor.
