I have a used 1480 that when we got it it had rubber mud flaps bolted on the rear of the chaffer and tucked down behind the return augar, I guess to cover the gap between the rear access door. My question is this is this helping me or hurting my cleaning. Wheat only , no specialty crops. Has anyone heard of this before. I figure that gap must be there for some reason?
