On the 24 feet front there is a steel hydraulic pipe which enters the rear of he right hand side where the reel drive unit is, travels along the front of the comb behind and upward of the table auger to the other side, does a 180 degrees and returns from whence it came, then goes to the drive motor of the reel drive. Why does the steel hose have to go to the other side of the header , then back again for no obvious reason. Beats me.

This steel hydraulic line is on the head to help cool the hydraulic oil used to drive the reel with the self contained drive and reservoir.
