8010 works great , but fueling up is pain in the &^% cause platform is full with dust , is this same on 07 model's

There was a software program going around where you could go in with a laptop and change from power boost to power rise on the 04 models( not really sure which way it did it but it gave you more power). I was told if you did this it would mess up your auto reel speed. When I ran an 04 model I had this done and I believe it did mess up the auto reel speed but I sure liked the power....just ran mine on manual and never slowed up. This is a long shot but it may be your problem.
Ya, fueling up is a pain....they build a nice big box up there for all that crap to collect in because they didn't want it to look like a NH machine.

I reread your post, on a pickup head is the reel speed used?
Shouldn't the pickup speed be controled by the header speed coming out of the CVT that drives the head? Like on the corn head.
I think that when you put on a soybean platform the header speed is preset?
Maybe I'm thinking too much?

You're belt still runs on the reel drive circuit and you can manually adjust it, it is just the auto speed that is a problem. Farmertony, I am not sure about earlier machines but I am certain that the '07's allow you to change feeder speed on everything but a draper.
