I have a 1985 N5 and have always ran corn with it but this year I've got some soybeans to harvest, any tips on how to set it up to run beans? what would be the best cylinder speed and concave setting? and i'm pretty new too combining and if and some advice on how to adjust the concave would be great thanks.

Start out with 1/2" on the concave and about 600 rpms. You will have to shift the gearbox to the high side. You want to knock the beans out of the pods but leave the stems whole. If you get too tight you will grind up the stems and get a build up on the cage. You want to engage the cage sweep. This is presuming that you have a stock rotor with the reverse bars still in.
