Looking to up grade our 1997 9600, it is starting to cost too much to keep it going, thay are a fantastic machine but i think the time has come. Want to keep with JD for many reasons and think we should move to a rotary. We cover 4000 ac and harvest wheat, barley, canola and chickpeas. So what model and how bigger header for it.

Are you thinking used or new? If used then 9660/9760 and new would be 9670/9770. Put a 36 ft draper on any one of these machines and you will be happy. If you swath your canola get a 615 pickup.

9660 or 9670 are close to 9600 size if you need more capacity jump to the 9760 or 9770 with 35 foot draper works well the new drapers are so much better than the 900 ser. we run 9770 with 635d runnning wheat, barley,canola and beans. keeps us happy and our client happy
