yup, that bracket has to come off, and then you have to try to wrangle it out to the rear of the machine. you have to have the shaker arm in just the right position to get it to clear all the bracing on the body. would it have broke the bank for case to have made the elevator an inch further out from the machine? 30 years of axial flow leadership, and thats what you still get!

The arm has a big bearing in it that is held in with a snap ring onto a six sided shaft that drives the auger bed as well. theres a key in the arm and on the drive so that you can't mess up the timing.
