That would be a very nice update. You are familiar with 50 so you will see the improvements on the 52. Most important upgrade would be the feeder. Make sure shock kit has been installed and I would strongly recommend the floor job. The feeder will have less capacity than your 50 simply because the tail end of front feed floor was 2" shorter than the 52 is. This longer feed floor come into production in '93. Trouble with longer floor is it directed straw to high on rear feed tension drum. With the floor kit I have instructions to shorten the floor back to what it was on prior machines plus an inch (total 3"). While doing the job I have you tilt it down 1/2" from original. This will present the straw much lower to rear tension drum. Next is to replace the floor that is humped up in front of tension drum with humpless floor. This also helps prevent straw from being guided to high on tension drum but the main benifit is more room for more straw to smoothly get under rear drum. The smoother this transition the easier it is on feeder plus you feed the cylinder a nicer mat of material. Best of luck making the deal
