hi guys I just purchased an 05 8010 with 700 hrs and a ton of updates. noticed a 4 chain feeder chain with 2 bars. is the 3 bar version that much better? mine has 200hrs on it
also no spring tightener.
the engine tag shows 419 hp.is that the actual hp. thought 05 was 375 or 400.
still keeping the 2 n6 gleaners since they are not worth anything. should be a step up though

the four chain would be the updated chain. also they make a kit to make your drum spring loaded we put it on ours made a big difference. you will really love this machine over your gleaners. 07 was when they made the power jump what are you going to be combining thismost with this machine. corn, beans , canola. if you are needing more power while running they can turn your boost on all of the time so you have all the power full time not just when dumping on the go. that is how we got ours set up sometimes you have to back off a little when dumping on the go but it gives you alot more power while threshing. hope it works out good for you good luck any more questions just ask

If you have four chains and two bars you most likely have two separate feeder chains in the feeder house. Too update to the 3 bar feeder chain you would have to change your drive sprocket, plastic guide position in feeder and stripper bar plate. Also would need to update your feeder drum. They ran two separate feeder chains on all 10 series combines, went to one large feeder chain in the 20 series.
