So I'm in Hesston today at a Gleaner combine clinic and went on a plant tour this morning. As we walked by the R&D building I took this picture. The tour guide muttered something about they just leave everything out for someone to see. It looks to me to be a 20 inch 16 row head. It's reported to be a chopping head. It's suppose to be real good in down corn too. This isn't the first time I've seen pictures of heads like this on their lot.

He was impressed.
I believe he was told to keep quiet about it because he won't give out much info when we ask, neither will the dealer. No one knew about it until it was gone.
I was told by another neighbor it is basically a Hugger with lawnmower blades under it.

it is my understanding that it is totally different than the hugger. it is supposed to have longer rollers that turn slower, with chopping capabilities and one piece molded snouts that are low profile doing away with the hump were the ear saver is at to help in down corn. the loss level is supposed to be much better than the hugger design???

Gleaner combine clinic?

I've been trying to find out about these combine clinics all winter from my dealer,,even put a post on here a few months ago looking for info on them. Bought a new S77 last fall looking foward to getting some better adjustment advise. Dealer told me they dropped the clinics. Did I miss good stuff or just a fun day?

I thought it was good, but I'm new to Gleaners and combines in general. I would imagine someone who had more experience may not value it as much as I did.
