I was wondering if anyone has received info on the new Cr combines. I understand they will have 428 basic hp plus a further boost, but was wondering how the torque curve works and how this will affect performance compared to 05 models?

At work I did get a quick look through the book that the sales guys brought back from the meeting a couple of weeks ago. There was a HP increase but I don't remeber what it was. It would still have the power bulge (safety marging where it continues to add fuel rate over normal rated load) and an unload boost. I am still unclear if they are going to do like some say CaseIH is on the 8010 and allow the operator to select if he wants the unload boost active at all times or only when the unloading auger is activated.
All new CR's are supposed to get the more agressive shoe geometery that was installed in the 8010 and corn/soybean CR970's last year. They said it made all the difference when running high moisture high yield corn.
There was not a torque curve chart. There is a HP chart. It was a very flat curve. It should hit max HP near 2000 rpm and hold it as rpms decrease. It would be interesting to see a torque chart.
