We run a shulte snowblower and have a terrible time with swirling snow enveloping the rad and intake to the point where the air filter packs with snow and ice. Not a good situation for obvious reasons. Planning on cutting hole in top of hood to run a removable intake stack vertically. Looks like it would wind up far enough away from exhaust pipe. Existing intake under hood is rectangular with 24 sq inches of opening. 3" abs pipe gives it 28 and a 4" would be 50 sq inches. Any thoughts or guidance on this would be appreciated.

before you cut a hole in the hood, how are you going to open the hood without having to take the intake apart or a huge hole? I did the same to my TV140, but I ran the air cleaner through the side panel on the opposite side of the exhaust. BTW, if you use that tractor for summer haying and are having heating problems, get the muffeller out from under the hood. Did that to mine and never gets home unless the rad plugs
