I saw many new 4wd's in our area here in Humboldt, Saskatchewan. I am spraying most of the time so I move around a lot in our area and see all the nice equipment the farmers have here.
Saw a few new JD 9620R and 9570R 4wd's and new Case IH 620 4wd's. Looks like that is the most popular tractors.
One farmer bought 6 new R-series John Deeres!!
Do you guys think the bigger JD R-series tractors will have have the Cummins engines forever or will they get JD engines in few years time again?

They need to incorperate the fuel tank into somthing. it kinda looks like a 1960s russian design. But i like the fact that they use 15 litre cummins power instead of their own smaller engine. like the cnh brain fart having a mouse on steroids. 620 hp on 12.8 or 12.9 liter ingine. like seriously!!!
And i like the look of the intake on one side and the exhaust on the other.

have john deere beefed up the axle bearings on these big tractors?
funny you mentioned that...have u had this problem too..
not yet but alot of people around me have. some have destroyed housing, planet gears and carrier and fill rest of tractor with metal. very expensive & lots of down time. now there putting over 600hp through these you would hope they have soughted the issue out. most here have gone between 3000 - 6000hrs.

I check mine every year with dial gauge and make diff arnt making metal.

Makes me smile! Are the Deere dealers req'd to be Cummins certified this time around. I remember back in the mid 90's when the 8960 came out with the cummins. We were running 9380 Cases at the time. The Deere folks had 2 choices for Cummins service (and they needed it!) either the Local Case dealer or Western Canada Cummins that was 4 hr away. Needless to say, some green tractors received red service!
