June 17, 2009 - New Holland CR9065 Combine Packs Big Power In Small Package

NEW HOLLAND, PA - New for Model Year 2010, New Holland's CR9065 Series Twin Rotorâ combine delivers increased power and productivity in a small-frame combine.

The CR9065 has the same frame and 17" twin rotors as New Holland's CR9060 model with a more powerful New Holland Cursor 10.3L 6-cylinder diesel engine - the same engine as used in New Holland's larger-frame CR9070 model. This extra horsepower provides excellent power for unloading on the go, and for spreading and chopping crop residue. The additional horsepower of the CR9065 also allows the operator to maintain ground speed in hilly and soft soil conditions and while unloading on the go. An additional auxiliary fuel tank (standard) provides an added 66 gallons of fuel capacity.

"The CR9065 was designed to meet the needs of custom harvesters and corn and soybean producers for more power in a small-frame package," says Ed Barry, New Holland Cash Crop Marketing Manager. "Current crop genetics and harvest demands create an opportunity to harvest green-stem soybeans, which demand more horsepower to cut. Also more producers are using larger draper heads and taking advantage of the efficiency of picking and chopping corn stalks in one operation with chopping corn heads. They're also chopping and spreading residue. All these tasks require additional horsepower to maintain productivity, and that's just what the CR9065 delivers."

New Holland CR9000 Series combine provide best-in-class features in grain handling, tank capacity and ergonomic cab design. Five models ranging in SAE engine horsepower from 322 hp to 483 hp are available.

The CR9000 Series features New Holland's Twin Rotor® design, which generates more centrifugal force than any other rotary design for faster separation, grain quality and maximum capacity.

The SLS self-leveling cleaning system uses a unique grain pan system that stratifies grain and spreads it evenly as it feeds into the cleaning system for more efficient cleaning. A sensor reads changes in terrain and automatically levels the cleaning system up to a 15% slope to keep the combine's cleaning system running at peak efficiency so more grain is captured in the tank and not on the ground. The CR9000 Series have the largest cleaning area in the industry, improving capacity in every condition.
