Can an original trimble lightbar with the case logo on it (bought in 2003) be used for a gps signal to map on a pro 600 in an 07 8010?
I used an outback S on the first 8010 last year to make yeild maps using a 9 pin connector into the side of the 600 and it worked fine for me. We are going to run 2 combines this fall and trying to keep expenses down this year, by using existing equipment around the farm. The combine is autoguide ready, but thats gonna have to wait unti next year.
thanks
Michael

does your lightbar have a small screen on it? If so, then yes it will work. You will need a null modem cable to connect from the 9-pin connector on the lightbar to the 9-pin on your Pro600. Then set up GPS in your toolbox and use an RS-232 connection.

No it doesn't have the small screen. It is the original unit, just a basic lightbar, antenna, and a keypad with 6 basic buttons on it. If i remember right the brain is in the antenna, if this helps at all
thanks again
