We designed and built a sprayer to direct mount to the CASE quad track tractor and can also mount to any 4WD tractor. The unit is direct mounted so you don't need to have a 3PT on the tractor. We would like as many opinions, likes, dislikes, good, bad or otherwise about this sprayer. Thanks for your time!

I cant find it on your site. Do you have any video of it in test action? Boom whip when turning would be my biggest concern at those widths. I used to run a 60' boom articulated, now running 132' pull type. I cant imaging the whip possibilities with 90' and wider on articulated.

Also, how do the booms fold for transport?

Here is the link to the page on our website:

Our booms have very little whip to them. Our booms are the toughest and lightest booms on the market. The booms fold forward on the tractor. This unit is running out in Worley, ID and he has 20,000 acres on it with no downtime. It goes on and off the tractor in 10 minutes so the tractor can be used more through the season.

Here is a quick clip that they have.

It may not be for everyone but around here it may be an affordable alternative to the self propelled sprayer for hills. I would like a single tank for ease of mixing chemicals when loading a sprayer and enough capacity to cover acres when using higher gallon per acre rates. The boom appears to be well built and able to take bumps in the hills. I rode in a Vector last fall and was impressed with the setup.

Umm mm where is the tank. And how big is it ?
The tank is mounted over the back of the tractor, it is a 1250 gallon poly tank that the customer supplied. We are working on a stainless steel tank that will be able to stay on the tractor or come off with the sprayer depending on the needs when you use the tractor.

Would that fit on a row-trac? Will it work through the PRO700 like a normal CNH sprayer or do you use a separate controller?

Very interesting.....:)

Yes, it will fit the Row Trac. I am sure the Pro700 will work. We use standard Raven Flow meter and regulating valve and Banjo Ball valves for the boom sections and most controllers will hook to the Raven components or we can put on whatever you want on the flow rate side of things. This one the customers set up Trimble to run the sprayer and has Capstan Pin Point (Aim Command Pro) on it also. The fold functions of the sprayer are done by the Sprayflex joystick controller but all the spray controls are done by whatever controller a person wants to use or already uses in the tractor.

It wouldn't be for me, but it looks like you have spent a lot of time designing it. Here's what would deter me

1. As a farmer with no help around, how much time and effort is required to swap and un swap this ? I have one tractor and at seeding time I usually spray a few fields ahead then seed. I would not want to be un hooking the drill and swapping over. The stage the weeds are at are not always even field to field so I like to spray according to what the field needs the day before I get to it.

2. I can't see it being useful for pre harvest burn down as the tracks or tires would trample too much crop.

Maybe there is a niche market for you , I hope you succeed in getting it on the market.

They are both genuine reasons to have a separate spray rig (because that's what I do and it is a PIA) but I can live with it. It does the job but doesn't have the price tag of a self propelled.
3pl linkage sprayers are common around here. This is what I have.

We have a summers ultimate direct mounted on an 835 versatile and it is all most unstoppable in the mud, not real practical for much else but if your battling mud it would be a lot better to have your sprayer mounted on the tractor that would normally pulling the sprayer out the mudd anyhow

Thumbs up guys!

You rotten bugger! You beat me to it! I have been thinking about doing the exact same thing, I use an 895 Versy for spraying and always thought a set up like this would work great. Do you have any prices on this yet?

I may have seen your rig, but not sure. Do you have pics of it to post or share somehow? When I opened this thread, first thing I thought of was a Versy with a sprayer on it I had seen. But not sure if it is yours or not.

Our marketing plan with it is it can be a compliment your farming operation by being a second or back up sprayer when needed and not have the additional capital expense of running another power unit since you would already have the tractor. For taking the sprayer on and off, this can be done in about 10 minutes once you have everything installed on the tractor and easy to unhook ie..wiring, plumbing etc...
Spring time is always busy for everyone and to have another unit available when the weather is not cooperating to get out there and get the spraying done we will is where this unit will have its advantages.
We have it direct mounted on the CASE because the 3 PT option is a lot of money to have on the tractor so we wanted to be able to mount it to tractors that do not have 3Pt hitches.
Thanks for your thoughts, we also hope we can get these into the right markets.

We do have a few customers wanting us to put it on a Versatile DT 450 and it is doable, we would just need to make mounting brackets that fit that tractor and the same sprayer would go on it.
Thanks!
