Any idea on what happened to canola fields east of red deer- hiway 11 near Haynes junction- I have some that looks about the same- canola planted on pea stubble that had viper sprayed on it the previous year

Or...herbicide sprayed on opposite type canola?

Not sure about that area, but here it was caused by dry soils for early germination followed by late frosts and lots of hungry flea beetles. I've heard theories that anything touched by even a light frost has a higher sugar content and the bugs just went to town on dessert.
