I saw a You Tube video last spring showing a guy running a 30" row corn head thru 15" corn rows. He spaced the seed to 10" and even went thru on a 45° angle. Anyone heard of this.?
I put this ( Aprox, I made a double pass w/my 4 row planter ) spacing in on my test strip but left the seed spacing the same as usual. Water hasn't been a prob this yr but we haven't made ears yet.
Just wondering if anyone has played with something like this too.
Don't think it's anything I would want to do all the time. As the seed population depends on available water. I can dump the fertilizer to it.
I'm non irrigated running 26,000 pop normally.
