Still trying to get used to cr 9060. Having some seive loss combining durum wheat. What is the consenses on pre sieve setting, should it be less or more open than the main sieve. What kind of fan speed are you guys running on durum. Right now I wish I had my TR 99 back.

Anything that goes thru the pre seive goes to clean grain. Do a kill stall, see whats going on in the combine. (should be in the monitor under calibrations)

Fan speed bout 900, rotors spinning fast, top seive 15mm, bottom 5-6mm. concave half inch. Should br a good start.

all conditions are different, but for one thing set your sensitivity to 25, that sound board is very sensitive. Confirm its actually wheat seed sieve loss. our settings run as follows for hard red spring wheat. small grain concave wedged in, rotors full rpm, 1330-1380 fan 810, pre-sieve if adjusted correctly with notch 1 is pretty much closed, we run notch 2. Top sieve .51 lower sieve .24-.20. Remember, if you are trying to clean white caps do it in the threshing not cleaning. also, the further open you run your sieves the more air you need

Definately try the settings that 2rotors said, and switch loss to 20-30 percent. Depending on what your durum is running and sieve settings, your first problem is most likely your fan should be 810-840, that little bit makes a big difference.

Thanks guys, I did not realize that what went through the pre sieve went straight to clean grain. Small changes in fan speed does seem to make diff. 800 seems close, a bit chaffy but better than blowing it out the back, above 850 look out.
