Currently running Pro 700 with trimble guidance. When things work I like the setup. Have had tons of issues after shutting sprayer off complete loss of the the job. The mapping maps in front of the sprayer and makes the making not the best. And lately the Nav 2 controller has been making my guidance think im doing circles in the field. When the trimble works right it makes very straight swaths but its just not consistent. Anybody have any experience with running both, pros or cons to each. Thanks. And our servicing dealer also puts about 98% with raven and doesnt know much about Pro 700 with Trimble.

The job loss issue is a software problem that CNH has fixed with their newest update. Also there was a software patch to fix the mapping picture. We heard a lot of complaints about that one. The spinning in circles thing... First check the little grey cable coming from your steering sensor they seem to fail a lot. Also it could either be a bad steering sensor or something goofy in the Nav II.
Hope this helps

I just installed Viper 4 in my N-H SP240 F because I couldn't get the sprayer to run straight enough between corn rows with Trimble. Up to now, Raven is even worst. The deal was if they get it to run straighter I buy it. Seems like if they don't find a solution within the next week, they'll get their system back.

Other than that, Viper 4 is working ok. Communication with the sprayer was great. Easier to clean up the sprayer with this display and it was automatically turning off 4 wheel steer when engaging the autosteer. Things I didn't like was I find they are working backward by selecting you job and then your field. You quickly end up with your job menu filled up with completed job and it's kind of confusing if you want to go back to a job you started a week before. Also, instead of seperating the guidance lines in the selected fields, if you save a guidance line, it will be save with all the other guidance lines you've saved before so it's kind of a pain.

Viper 4 is pretty fast and I like how you can customize your field display. Like the fmx display, it's missing a summary function where you could go see how many acres you've sprayed this year or total acres from one customer etc... I really like that feature on the Pro 700. All in all it's 2 good displays. they all got their pros and cons. If it's your only display, it's not a big deal to change, if you have other ones, it's nice to have something where your can transfer field info and guidance lines from one to the other. That was my biggest issue with Raven since I already have 2 Trimble displays and trying to do some traffic control.

I haven't used much Trimble but this year I updated my viper pro to the 4 on my nitro, had some of the same setup issues with boom sections as I had with the pro, but I had one of the first, after they changed from windows software to Lennox it is all good now, I still have the long box smarttrax box that i should have upgraded right away, get plenty of errors from it. But I love how you can set up everything right where you need it and how you can override accuboom without changing jobs. I really like the support, I had an intermittent problem with a node that would cause all of them to go offline, turned out the accuboom node leaked water in the sight glass. The guy I talked to was incredibly talented and knew the harness for my sprayer like the back of his hand. I give raven a thumbs up. I do wish there dealers understood the products better
