Will a factory straw spreader spread 30' on a calm day? and how evenly do they spread? I have a straw storm on mine and it doesn't spread as evenly as I would like. It overloads the left side and barely spreads anything past the right side of the combine.

with the right conditions it will spread to 30 feet, usually about 26 feet is all you will get with factory belt driven spreader

try adjusting the paddles on your spreader. Move one all the way back and the next all the way forward, and do that with the other two as well. It seemed to help us when we had our R62.

i installed a 1 inch larger drive pulley on spreader it will now spread lentil straw in mornings more than 30 feet closer to 34 feet and it does spread better on left side also,
