2002 model R75
On two occassions whilst harvesting the machine has lost all electrics and engine shuts down without notice. On the first occassion operator had no idication that anything was amiss. The second time the fieldstar flicked back to the start page, the field lights hesitate a couple of times and the low voltage light came on for a moment then engine shut down. All functions return to normal after waiting three or four minutes. On the second event I tried to open the power ladder to the engine compartment (which icidentally would not power down) in an effort to isolate the fault and heard an audible click as power was restored to the machine.

I am 200km from the nearest dealer and would appreciate any help with this.

Forgot to mention to take a look at breaker itself. If should be located just below starter. It would have just two fairly heavy wires going to it. A poor connection hear will transfer heat into breaker and cause it to break even though there is no short. Suspect loose nut that holds eyelit on or poor solder that holds wire to eyelit. You could feel connections after a fair bit of running and it should not be hot. Good luck

The click was likely master breaker kicking back on. I believe you must have short on major currant feed to cab. Follow the harness from engine compartment to bottom of cab. Look for any sharp corners that harness could of rubbed threw. Look very close at eyebolt that tensions right rear feed chain. There was a bulliton to take note of that spot to be sure harness has clearance to eyebolt as chain stretches. The eyebolt comes down and forward as chain self tensions. Best of luck

Thankyou to everyone for your imput on this subject. Inspected the harnesses in question and the other problems points highlighted. Did not find the cause of the problem but in moving the cables and wrapping potenutal wear spots I seem to have rectified the problem for the the moment at least. The machine has done 50 hrs without missing a beat. Thanks again to all involved.
