The rubber strip under the two long gear clamps (look like hose clamps) comes off and then you have to take the bolts out of the hydraulic pump drive and the belts fit through the gap between the drive and the pulley, and where you took off the rubber strip. To clean the fan, and the engine for that matter we just pull the covers off the engine and blow with compressed air till every speck of dirt is gone. Make sure the rubber hydraulic pump drive is not cracked. We had to replace our R52 one twice since the machine was new...last time a wonder it was able to drive the pump even as it fell out in pieces when I went to replace the fan belts.
