Got a quote on the new Deere sprayer and numbers don't look bad from aggressive dealer, they are looking at market share and want sprayers in the area

Now from a guy that never owned a Deere sprayer and being a new series machine not on the ground till next year, has anyone been on any demos, or know much about this machine

Currently have a 4430 patriot and 120' aim loaded up sprayer and have had no issues to date, happy with the ride, quiet cab, hp, fuel econmy, balance and spray job... and booms are trouble free.... Weight of machine has been able to allow me to keep skinnys on year around

The quote I have is for a similar setup r4045 120 with aim start shooter, but had no answers on weight, noise, and ride

Previous Deere models I had thought were loud, and sprayer balance was rear heavy, looking for good info... Thanks

Think you just listed all the reasons to not trade.;)

I demoed 4038 about 3 weeks ago. 4045 will be very similar, bigger tank, more hp, I think heavier frame. I run a 4930 now. The new model with new cab is quit a bit quieter, very nice cab. The new boom works very good, it is stable and doesn't bounce around at all. The ride is a little better, I think this comes from better balance. They say, and it looks like the back end won't be so heavy.

I think this sprayer will get green farms with a red sprayer back. IMO In my world I have never had a problem with the so called heavy Deere sprayers, 400,000 ac and stuck twice.
Correct me if I am wrong but I think Mr. Boles new blue one weighed in heavier than the big Deere.

Our local dealer should have 4045 demo later this month. New orders will be here this fall, I hope to put a few hours on mine after harvest. :)

Good enough to get a red farm to switch over and be happy?;)

Would be nice to get a real world weight on a new Deere sprayer. Perhaps I will undertake that myself, I don't even know exactly what my 4430 weighs except for the published weight......

I dont get this so called heavy deere thing. I think its just a good way to jump on the machine that has most of the market share in North America. We ran a 4720 for 160000 acres, traded for a 4940 last year and put 40,000 on it since. We've been stuck a couple times crossing RM ditches but only once in the field with the 4720. We have had some terrible wet years, had our sprayers in well over 2 feet of water and never had a problem. The Deere has good power to the ground and can chew threw anything we throw at them.

Which I have been spraying with now for a few days now.
Been running 15 psi in the tires and it goes through mud well, least "white knuckle" unit I've ever driven in those conditions.;)
Which tires are you running again? I'm in the process of figuring out what im going to run for floats on mine. Between the factory 800 IF or some 710 IF. I have the 380 IF coming for skinnies.

As for rubber he was talking, going with 390 duals, all around the sprayer, then taking outsides off for late season... Never seen duals on a sprayer before, but says very common....

Trying to get a demo, before anything happens, thanks
