I'm looking at buying a gleaner combine and have several questions. To anyone with experience I was wondering how they got along with an R42? We currently only run about 500 acres a year with the majority of that being corn, I'm sure it would be a huge step up from our MF550 but I would like to be able to handle 750 to a 1000 acres without having to upgrade again.
I'm looking more at R52s I guess but there is an R42 that I like the look of.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated

I think either would have excellent capacity in corn compared to MF550, the R52 would be a better long term choice in my opinion. Good luck in your search.
