R50 1990 with deutz 6 cyl It take about 30-40 sec for starting . Is fuel missing or anything else...any idea thanks

Two things-
1st - valves are adjusted correctly??
2nd - check and see if your injection pump has solenoid as shown in picture. If it does it should receive power only when starter is engaged (puts pump into excess fuel for starting) - it might have it's own fuse - tractors do just above engine.

I have found if you leave throttle in kill position for a couple of turns then push throttle forward into run position it will start right off. LOL.

Yep, been doing that for years...I have shown many, many service people that and they say it is not so. Also works the same on the 8030 AC tractors, and 3588 IH
