Same problem. I used a 4 in makita grinder to clean off yesterday. Pain in the butt if you forget to look once in a while. You have the tubes on there around the shaft. Mine has them and still wraps once in a while. Wonder if other brands wrap too. N series use to do that for me also.

You need to basically build onto the square tube that is just ahead of the drive sprockets. The gap was to large on R50's. Tube should be within an inch of the sprocket teeth. I believe early build R52's had same problem in the conditions you must be in
