Hi all, I'm in the process of switching my trimble stuff in my N-H SP 240 F (miller 5240) sprayer to Raven. Got most of my wiring done and I just learnt this morning that I would need (if not already installed) I speed node for the boom and a product node to control product flow. I did not see any other Raven node other than what I installed but was wondering where these 2 are suppose to be located.

Thanks!

Field IQ was working good but I couldn't get my autosteer to work well in RTK. I have wiring for field IQ, Field IQ module and CAN input module if you need them. Also have wiring for DCM 300 modem. What are you running with Raven?

I'll should be able to tell you how I like it next week. Up to now, viper 4 doesn't look too bad. Customer support is also 10x better than trimble. As long as it doen't crush my corn, I'll be more than happy

Have you updated every node on that RG1300? The steering was really sub par and there is an RG1300 specific update and honestly credit where it's due it does steer great now.
Yeah Joe they have changed some hose etc over on the steering block and yes it's better. Just hate the raven monitor very tedious to use! Planning on going down ctf route, easier to do when everything is running on the same gps equipment.

f4e..... Viper pro does look 100x better and back up is generally the biggest drama with any equipment. Hope it goes well for you!

Finally sprayed 150 acres with it today. It couldn't work before as Raven supplied me the wrong Node and cable... They then realized the cable they made me order from miller to power up the display was the wrong one. we got the new one and today they realized it was still the wrong one. Such a pain! Apparently they built the new good one today at Raven and will ship it to me for Monday. Everything is working except I can't get RTK signal so hard to compare guidance precision.

Other than that, I really like how it works with the sprayer. Mainly with four wheel steer. We can really tell the machine was built to work on a Raven display.

Things I don't like now is how they setup their jobs backward. you select your job and then your grower farm field. So you quickly end up with a bunch of jobs icon on your display and it's hard to know which one they are related to since they are named only by their date of creation.

Still have some small things to figure out but I find the display pretty straight forward. I'll tell you more on guidance when I'll get that super cable!

What i do is take the date and from 14 back i erase. Then I put in customer account # or farm name example 1111-pettman-14-10-31. This way I have the date and farm so I can sort out with the viper. You can then search all jobs by customer #

Ok that is good to know, small things I will have to learn I guess. Do you name the ingredients of your tank mix? Not sure I'm doing it the proper way. If you have 1000 gal in your tank plus 10 gallons of roundop let's say, what do you put in carrier volume? And how is the calculation is made to then give you ingredient rate, gal/acre?

Thanks
