I don't own, but sell a lot of them. Disc style heads were originally designed to cut grass and have made it into the other forage crops over the years. So yes, they do cut grass.
If you are cutting alfalfa, sorghum, or any other forage crops the twin conditioner is the ticket to make the crops dry roughly 25-35% faster. You won't see much difference in dry time in grass.
