dont know if they are the same or not, but our 1680 did that one time while thrashing wheat. Turne out to be a wiring harness had come unplugged under the front left hand corner of the combine right under the grain tank.

Are your solenoids energized under step beside cab? It's the top one on my 1660. Also make sure the limit switch on elbow is free. Mine quit returning all the way back keeping the auger from swinging out

No we cant' get our solenoids to energized from the switch inside cab. We can manually energize them with hot wire, but it still won't swing in or out. And yes our switch on the elbow is free
