Best way to check tailings and what is happening, have a look at what comes out of the tailings when the bottom door is open. Have someone operate the machine for 50ft or so and you walk along side. This will tell you exactly what is going on and make adjustments from there.
Plugging could be elevator chain paddles worn out, condition of the top auger (flighting worn out or bent over at the end), lower sieve too tight (clean grain in tailings).
