Re: 9510, 9550 questions

ne,

1. I don't know.
2. Check out the JD thread "50 Series???" started Dec 6. The last post will take you direct to the Deere website support and you can probably get all the specs in the manual section. That thread also discusses the differences between the 10 and 50 series walkers. In the "7721 vs. 9400" thread started Dec 2, some of the cleaning areas specs are listed for the 94xx which is identical to the 95xx except the walkes are 20" longer resulting in about 1,100 more sq in of walker area. The 9510 and 9550 walkers are identical, except for the cosmetic, electrical and cab updates. I don't have my books handy as I am in Oregon, but I think the 9550 walker kept the 466 engine, but they may have put the 414 in it, I know the 9560 STS has the 414.
3. I think the 50 series went to a one point hook-up, but need to check that.
4. In my opinion, there is no difference in capacity or grain quality between either one. Unless the new curvy side panels and the hydro stick with the unloading augar controls on it are important to you, a 9510 would be the best buy if you are looking at $15,000 difference for similar hours/condition of machine.

Re: 9510, 9550 questions

The 9510 will be the same as the '50 except for the engine.9510 used the 8.1L 496cu.in. and the 9550 used 6.8L 414cu.in. Make sure the 9510 had the update on engine crankshaft apparently they were defective I believe the 9550 might be rated alittle higher on HP but I have heard they are also a lot harder on fuel . The 50 series will still be a multi pt. hookup the single pt. started with the 60 series. Good luck with your decision.

Re: 9510, 9550 questions

We had a 6620 titan 2 and went to a 9550 best money ever spent. look at 9510 found that 50 series had auger that folded down in grain tank so we could hit a13.9 eve in machine shop that was the deciding factor for us
