no, you cannot replace the Pro 600 with the GS2 system (or any other brand monitor).

you may be able to put JD guidance on the 8010, but you cannot REPLACE the existing 8010 display.

Where did the original post go?????????

I don't think Apex supports Voyager2, but I'm not 100% sure. The AFS software supports GS2 files, though, and does a lot more than Apex.

That would be me.
Somehow there was two identical posts in the last 100, one at 9:15, one at 9:19, I checked to see which one was in the thread, then deleted the opposite one.
For a reason that mystifies me both of the identical posts at both times were deleted.
Sorry Torn.

Several farmers in my area run the John Deere guidance on the Case equipment. One farmer in particular has two GS2 systems and transfers them between 2 8010's, his WDX 1203 and his STX 435. He says you get the best of both worlds.

Has anyone on here ever done this before? We're thinkin about gettin an 8010 but we're 100% green on everything else and don't really want to have to learn a new system or pay for another new one when we'll have everything we need if it'll work.

Ah, that would explain it, identical post in two different threads.
Sorry, I didn't notice it was in two different threads.

The afx series combine cannot be run without a case display. When ordered without a diaplay they are sent with a loaner so the combine can be moved.

Re: 9860 to 8010

Not technically true. You can drive (and even harvest) without a display installed, but you have no clue what your machine is doing. It would be like driving a car with no dashboard, idiot lights, etc.

Obviously you wouldn't want to harvest without a display, but it's nice to be able to at least move the machine without the display, if you've taken the display into the house for the winter, for example.
