i would check to see if the concave filler plates are installed we make sets that bolt to bottom of adjustable concave with three bolts, and blanks off first six rows. take both out if threshes easy,rear plate only if hard thresh(blanks 3 rows each) then move rear of concave to min position to helpforce grain through concave sooner

Ok thanks, yeah I put the filler plates in, I thought they were used for small grain. I'll try taking them out.
Do you work at Mitchel's then?

Does your cdf rotor have the shim kit for the bars? that helps the treshing a lot more when it comes to rotor loss.

i run a 7120 case but i will tell you you will always have green stems in oats if you wait to long you will have dark colored oats .sometimes you just have to go slow and steady good luck.

I guess I should be more specific, first time setting the R52, not the first time running oats. Our old machine was a walker and much different to set.
