I think as a result of the spreaders being that close we have seen a few of those skirts get ripped.

Well js4fn, guess we have our answer, don't we? Can't really tell though, is the side curtains attached to the front one? Is that why they are so close to the spinners? Why can't they hang straight down?

They lasted about 3 days and then the right side was chopped into half..

but they do work.. its amazing how much cleaner the combine is when these work.

What if you got a peice of flat steel, say 1'' wide and 1/4'' thick, and attached it to the rubber to hold it straight down using the bolts at the top as you can see in the second picture...

I do know if you cross a large ditch you should look and make sure there not over the tire.

I almost competely destroyed the good side..

So Keep that in mind when crossing places you shouldn't lol

Let us know how it works and be sure and post some pics. By the way, where are you located? Sounds like you like you "new to me" 2166 as I do my "new to me" 2188......NICE machines, arn't they?
