Well where Iam it was a mixed bag. Overall the quality of everything was pretty poor, but with reasonable yields considering the season pinched off with no rain. Most barley being the lower grade feeds. Canola oil content below normal but yields average. A lot of screenings in wheat. Beans, peas lentils etc were not high yielding.
If we had had another inch or two in September it would have been fantastic and most people would still be harvesting. Some areas close by had around 4 inches of rain in December, so what hadn't been reapt shot and was all black.
Not as much straw being baled either as a lot of it was weather damaged, but there is a bit of stripper font straw being cut and baled still. Oh well, we'll just keep saying next year until we get a good one. We've had good starts to the last couple of seasons, but they just haven't quite finished off.
