I don't know how you could pull a Lexion in two. There would have to be an awful lot let go, and I mean a lot (there's a lot of d**n iron in that machine), to get it in two. I've been to Germany and Omaha to watch them be built and have looked over the two I've owned/own and I wouldn't know where to begin seeing it come apart at to result in two pieces.
Quote:So then why was the story floating around if there was no damage, I still think that there is more to the story, so if anyone heres anything let us know. I don't know why cat would try and cover it up, I know stupid things can happen, it probably just had the rear axle pulled off, anyway if anyone elses hears something!!!!!!!!!
YEah, and ya know my wife and I have been trying to have kids for 5 years and poor us, its just not happening..........
This was circulating around the coffee shop my wife temps at. Best freind (who lives an hour away) was helping me last winter mud my house said thats what his dads neighbor lady came up with.
BTW: Ill let you and everyone know when we start trying if ya really REALLY need to know. BUT for right now were still practising.
BTW: Rochesters claiming no damage to that guys 590, and if there was damage to that guys combine, who for the area runs quite a bit, who Im sure employs people, has relatives around.................HESUS C rist man, If they can keep all there mouths shut, (for what reason, I dunno) well, thats just amaizing!
BTW: Aftermarket tracks S-ck! EDIT: They don't all s-ck, just the ones that make ya use a different operating gear......IMO
Muddy does have a point. We all know stuff like this can and does happen to combines, but what's the big deal? No, Cat doesn't care enough about a mere accident to pull a tarp over something just because it happened to be a Lexion. Yes, what most people call "pulling in two" is the back axle getting ripped off, which still causes substantial damage to the frame.
Yes, there are just too many rumors of this or that happening. Neither the Lexion, nor the 9760 are confirmed, either. All just hear-say, based on a very real fact, just as fires are real and do destroy combines, but who really needs to know just who all lost what or where.
I'm not sure about pulling in two, as how much tractor would you need to do that and where would you hook up the chain, so that the connecting point like the axle would not get ripped off first.
Also the whole tarping thing, I doubt that would happen, if anything claas would send a couple of trucks to go pick up the pieces and put it in a shop somewhere to figure out what happened, why waste time tarping a combine in the field, have to get the combine out of the field eventually, might as well be right away.
As far as wrecking a combine when pulling them out, I know it does happen, already saw the aftermath where someone pulled a little too hard on a JD 9600, where they twisted the frame enough that none of the components inside would rotate freely.
Looks like you are the one with some growing up to do. Nobody insulted you. It was not even me at first, who questioned the event in the first place. I made it clear that such things do happen, although there is no logic behind any "coverup" by Caterpillar or even Claas. Others simply asked for site verification to which I said there are indeed a lot of rumors, based on reality, but when no names, faces or places can be presented, it is still just that: A RUMOR! Now you go and hide all that because it cannot be confirmed. Big deal.
Furthermore, there was no reason to change your name here, either. You never answered others' questions about this big farming operation you were expanding into. Your sudden fit-throwing in the chat room was most revealing of just who was acting like any kind of a "bully."
I have heard about this happening to a Claas Lexion owned by a well known Farmer in the south of Ireland about 10 years ago. Same story, combine got stuck, big tractors tied to the back and bam, instant scrap.
The proper way of pulling a combine that does not have a chassis connecting the front and rear axles like the Gleaner R series has, is to secure a chain onto the front axle rather than onto the tow hitch for the header trailer or around the back axle which I suspect is why this has happened.
Oh by the way ALL MIGHTY COMBINESS I was wasn't throwing a fit in the chat room I was trying to get the party started, everyone was quiet, and as for as the lexion being pulled in 2, that was information I got from another farmer who lives in southern mn, not something I found on the internet, and I still can't figure out why B575 started telling everyone about his low sperm count, I'm not sure what that had to do with a broken combine. And if it bothers you that I was asking that question, I will asume you will challange anyone who posts pictures of accidents on the farm, such as a flipped over combine or a stieger that someone drove up the side of a grain bin, you get my point. And as far as our farm expansion it is nobody elses business what we are doing, and I would think that every other "REAL" farmer on this board would agree with me. I have never been in the coffee shop and heard a farmer telling everyone in there about the land he is getting very cheap because of someone elses misfortune. As far as changing my screen name, so what, anyone with a brain can figure out who it is, I have started more then 1 thread, and most regulars are on here every day so they would notice the name change, I didn't really care for tracked, but if it makes you happy I can change it back. I have heard, not to offend you, because you have been known to start trouble. So I will from now on be a good boy. And, if I am no longer allowed on here for some "mysterious" reason, it was really good talking to most of you. TRACKED
Quote:I still can't figure out why B575 started telling everyone about his low sperm count, TRACKED
Now there ya go, starting another rumor (to my knowledge, that one is false)..........See how it starts?
Lexion 590 in question had plastic and some tin work on the outside above the add on tracks bent up after being pulled out........According to my sources, which could still be full of Bull, but he hasn't led me astray yet.
Brian, he likes doing that for whatever reason. It was HIM, not me, FKB or anyone else that night in the chat that started any rant, but him. He calls it just "getting the party started." How? By throwing a fit and accusing everyone of "fdighting" with him and basically picking a fight? I don't think so.
I have NEVER caused any trouble for him nor anyone else here, but I've broke up a lot of scuffles. He USED to act civil until the last 2 times he came into chat, but now takes offense at just being asked the usual, friendly questions most do use in chat, upon making introductions. Now he's dragged you into some rumor about something said. That's not good.
