Re: TX66 auto level acting up

It sounds it could be the linkage that goes to the switches on the head are binding up somewhere.
Check the leavers from the switch boxes are not hitting anything and the shaft above the skid plates
is free to rotate. Let us know what you find.

Re: TX66 auto level acting up

I had the inclinometer go bad due to an alternator overvoltage problem. There was a little
burn spot if you looked really close at the circuit board inside. There is a glass tube that
looks like a spirit level except there is a steel ball that rolls around inside instead of an
air bubble. I unpluged the wire on the electric actuator and moved it back into level position
with a jumper wire to 12 volts while waiting for the new box to arrive. This only lasted
about 30 minutes and the vibration of everything would make the sieves tilt some again
and need readjusted. I could have temporarilly removed the tilt actuator and replaced it
with a piece of flatbar with the holes drilled in it in the proper place to lock the tilt function.
Maybe you just neet to clean up the plug where the wire harness hooks into it.

Another thought is were the harness goes into the back of the
electronics bay. Sometimes just unplugging the harness and plugging
them back in a few times, fixes some electrical problems. Just a bit of dirt on the pins in the plugs gets cleaned off that way.
