well,
I put the old 8010 in the shop today. I still have a lot of milo and beans to cut, but i could not stand the performance i was getting out of it. They are putting new tailings kit in it and are suppose to chec it over again. Very upset about the service from case on the 8010 and priced a 9870 deere today. I bleed red but heck with the way this is going, looks like the bandages is all green. Let me know if anyone has switched and the pros and cons of this type deal.

If you have an 04 or 05 8010 you are in trouble. I know several guys around me that had many problems. It also takes a smart dealer to make sure you have all the modifications including software.

The guys running 07 8010 and 7010 last year had real good luck and really like them. Case must have gotten the bugs out of the design. To bad they had their customers do all the field testing of this new design.

Had a 05 8010 and a 2388 downtime was terrible on 8010, sold 23 and bought used 9860 and ran one year with 8010. they did updates said they had bugs out but the the deere did most of our harvesting in 2007 8010 was down proabably 100 hours during o7 harvest finally found a case dealer who had 9760 and traded 8010 have had no service calls after 220 hours on 9760 and none on 9860 in 2 years. case ih is a nicer combine but my 8010 would noy stay together, 23 is a great combine, just short on capacity.

i am having trouble deciding between a 7010 or a 9760. i like both of them but i think the 630 hydro is a better header than the 2020. Can someone give me some help on the pro's and con's of the two.

I agree with you aussiefarmer76 trade it for another 8010 or wait until the 9010 comes out,
just do not get hooked on john deere stuff there just way too many moving parts on it and there is a long waiting list for one.

Maybe look at lexion there
nice too.

well if your wanting a really awesome bean head or wheat you need a draper.... 40ft draper would be awesome on your 7010.

the 7010 has more cleaning capacity im pretty sure and also the cab's alot nicer and quieter.

There really nice machines...

i agree with aussiefarmer, dont go green its a backward step. sure they are killing the pig with all their guidance products, but that is to the detrement of their combines. farmers over here are trading out of their JD combines hand over fist. earlier this year a report came out- commissiond by by an idependent group- and in order CR970, Case8010, Class 580, JD9860. dont get caught up on all the hyde regarding bigger capacity with the JD 70 series it still is only the same size as a CR9060 and Case 7010. my adive - by the CR9080/70 but i would say that, its my job.
