On an R-42, it looks to me like it should be possible to replace the accelerator roll sprockets on the right hand side that drive the conveyor auger with a chain drive. ie: 2 sprockets and an idler sprocket. It seems that would eliminate all of the noise, and it would last just as long. Let me know good and bad points to doing this. TIA

I think that is a bad idea. We had a r62 before we traded it on a r72 and i know the person that brought it and has over 3000 rotor hours on the original cogs. I know that a chain would not last that long. wolters
