a good quality 80w90 gl5 gear oil, no cheapo stuff...... the 2000 hour change interval is a bunch of crap, when the oil starts to darken or get a hint of burnt smell change it ASAP. keeping good oil in these boxes makes a world of service life difference.

on the jug it says that is specially made for feeder house drives

460 Synthetic is what it's called... New 70 series come factory with it in the gear box, and 70 series guys don't forget that it's just Hi-Gard in the hydraulic reservoir now.

thanks for the info, i got some today. any idea how much the primary and reverser gear boxes hold?
