G'day all,
Looking at harvesting about 100 ha of rice next year. My 740 will be two seasons old by then so i figire it will be ready for some new APS elements, impeller elements and rotor tines. Should i bother with $$ stainless high wear gear or not?

I am not sure on the 740, I am running a 2388 with ss threshing tools and it is worth the extra expense. It is really cheaper in the long run to use the ss parts. Rice is really abrasive. I harvest around 600 acres of rice a year along with 2,000 of wheat, beans and milo I am on my 4 crop since my last rebuild. Before ss parts it was an every other year rebuild of the rotor. You might also want to think about having your transition cone hard surfaced.
