Changing oil and cleaning the engine compartment on the R-70 can be a pain as the side panel covers most of the access area to the engine, so I cut 12" off the side panel just in front on the cooling fan and pop riveted the piece to the side door , this gives lots of room to blow dust off the engine and the platform and you can access the oil filters easily. Looks like the factory did it.
