We have a case 2390 2wd tractor that is usually used for rock picking. Curious to if people have ran similar older tractors with hydraulic drive rotary Rock pickers and how good the hydraulics keep up. Also looking for opinions on rotary pickers in zero till.

6140 JD with a degelman ground drive rock picker from the 70's. We retired the "go to" rock picking tractor, a 1974 Case 970, a few years back.

I bought a rock bucket for my JCB320T and I think I'm going to use that this spring on a few fields. The JCB is obviously much lower to the ground than a tractor so it will be harder to find any rocks from a distance but if you know where to look for them I think the compact track loader is going to be faster.

Mf 4610. 100hp, super short, turns on a dime, loader on them is un obstructive of your view. The FWA is great in moss/wet places. These cheap utility tractors are worth their weight in gold for manuevering. We had our 3020 on our picker for yrs. doesn't hold a candle to the MF especially with a cab lol. We stole it from a dealership yrs ago for $47,000 with 1000 hrs on it. You could buy one brand new for $68,000 not all that long ago 7-8 yrs ago maybe. They are the new price and more now for well used ones.

I use a 4450 on my Degelman 6000. Plenty of hydraulics. I don’t have fluid in the 520R38s. Could use more weight on the rear.
